Crofton, KY, is celebrating the Gordon Park Septemberfest on Friday, September 12th, from 4:00-9:00 p.m., and Saturday, September 13th, from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.  Gordon Park is located at 13735 Old Madisonville Road.  Everyone is Welcomed!  There will be Gospel music, live band and local singing on Friday evening.  Both days will include: co-ed softball, three bouncers, vendors, games and face painting, and lots of food and fun.  On Saturday only, there will be the Children’s Pageant at 1:00; a silent cake auction from 2:00-6:59 p.m. (winner announced at 7:00 p.m.); and music by Drew Ladd at 6:00 p.m.  Concessions include funnel cakes, walking tacos, ribeye sandwiches, fries, hot dogs, burgers, etc.  Please call 270-424-5111 to register for softball, the pageant, or to be a vendor.  Also, there will be a Fireworks Extravaganza!

Topic:  Bethel Berry Baptist Church’s 126th Church Anniversary and  Homecoming


Bethel Berry Baptist Church, located at 6975 Old Madisonville Road, will be celebrating their 126th Church Anniversary and Annual Homecoming Day on Sunday, September 28th.  Sunday school begins at 9:45 a.m. and morning worship at 11:15.  The 2:00 afternoon guests will be Pastor Timothy Callazo and the Gordonville Baptist Church.  Dinner will be served.  A special invitation is extended to families who were members or had family members that were part of the Bethel Berry Baptist Church family.  The public is welcomed to come and be blessed too.  Host Pastor is Randy Meriwether.

Topic:  Women’s Conference at Covenant Community Church

It’s not too early to mark your calendar and plan to attend the 20th Anniversary Concert of the Gospel quartet, “Still Water”.  The concert will be held at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 920 Skyline Dr. in Hopkinsville, on Friday, September 19th, at 7:00 p.m.  There will also be surprise appearances by former members!

Topic:  Full-Length Feature Films Outdoors


The City of Hopkinsville’s Division of Parks and Recreation will again present full-length feature films outdoors.  Admission is free. Cold drinks and popcorn may be purchased and comfort stations will be on site.  All showings begin at dusk.  All films are rated G or PG and will be shown on , Aug. 8th, and Sept. 12th at Westside Park.  Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy.
